CIT Diploma of Visual Arts 2019 Graduation Exhibition
December 2019
My graduation artworks are collectively titled Green is the New Pink
Green is the New Pink is a quadriptych framed around a stylised map of Canberra, the seat of our Federal Government and legislators. Imagery of resource exploitation and industrial contamination allude to broader human impacts on our planet including environmental degradation, mass extinction, and overpopulation causing global warming and biodiversity loss.
The countdown for all Governments to make decisions to mitigate climate change is central to the narrative. There is no Planet B. For the survival of all species, we must take positive action to remediate and rejuvenate planet Earth.
